Clint- I want to let you know that I am proud of you for loving your daughter for who she is. I met you and Pepper years ago in NY at Bear Park near West Point I believe at a Beer Festival. My daughter Kristina Marik was a nanny for Pepper and really loved her. I am a supporter of your view points and your analysis on issues that impact our democracy. I am thinking of subscribing to this program. Appreciate any feedback as to do so. Bob Marik rjmarik@gmail.com

Hi Clint, I just formed Counter-Narcissist Intelligence here on Substack that has a lot of crossover with your talk and work. I would greatly appreciate any thoughts or guidance on how I can help your work and others. My piece Trumpism is Narcissism was endorsed by Dr. Bandy X. Lee, so you know I am not someone just playing at psychology. Recently had my page recommended by former psychotherapist Thom Hartmann too. I have psychological profiles on Musk about how his autism has nothing to do with his bad behaviors despite his claims, on Putin so Americans understand rather than fear his threats of using nukes and on Dark Trolls aka the Dark Triad/Dark Tetrad you discussed. Thanks & good show!

WOW Clint! BRAVO! LOVE hearing your story filled with so many lessons! Thanks for sharing...from a comedy stage!

I discovered you years ago in your first Congressional hearing and you’ve been one of my trusted goto persons. Puzzled why you’re on a comedy stage and I’m so delighted to watch this video to the end.

Please circulate this video as millions need to catch your unexpected message and story. The greatest lesson is to get out and interact with other good human beings in the real world.

Thanks for monitoring the dangers online and issuing the warnings. Stay well and keep rocking with your little girl. Cheers!

Thanks for sharing your autism parenting journey. My 22 y.o. son was diagnosed as a toddler, and my family shared similar challenges to what you described (though not as badly with sleep, thankfully). It really helps you appreciate lots of things others take for granted in life. Seeing our spectrum kids mature and gain new skills is so rewarding. It takes a village, for sure!

This caused me do do some reading, and at 74 I finally realized an explanation for my life: that I just sneak onto the autism spectrum. Scales fell from my eyes. Thank you.

Clint,

My son is on the spectrum just like Pepper. Surprisingly, when he was younger he did well in the structured environment of elementary and middle school. Things got tougher (as you mentioned in higher grades) particularly in high school and college where the programs are fewer and the structure falls away because schools assume everyone at this time is self directed and has fully functioning “executive skills”. Which (unfortunately) is definitely a “problem” with most kids/young adults who are autistic. The bigger challenges that are also coming to the forefront at this time and are very much apart of their everyday life - the social awkwardness/dating of a “non-neurotypical” individual trying to make friends and date when most of the world is neurotypical.

I applaud what you do to help people understand the challenges that Pepper and my son face everyday.

Thank you Clint and your whole family for making our world a brighter place with your beautiful non-neurotypical daughter and the insights and wisdom you impart on all of us!

Joanne
