While Biden's administration understands the real and dangerous threats from our own, the challenge is getting teeth in laws that actually address these groups. Prosecutors need Congress to pass legislation that assists law enforcement in charging these groups.

I struggle with 2 theories: is Congress and its various government arms simply inept or is this a strategy of deliberate malfeasance. Under both parties, there has been an inability to do much of anything, except launch meaningless wars and run for reelection. Prescription drug prices are obscene, the obscure and irredeemable tax code does nothing but provide job security for 7-figure accountants and tax attorneys, we're drifting past the point of 'no return' on global warming. Congress refused to listen to experts wrt social media dangers, monopoly concerns, racial injustice, etc, etc. Clint seems to suggest that the prior and current administrations are once again ignoring experts to focus on aspirational white papers with no tangible goals. So is this incompetent or indifference, or both?
