Domestic Extremism in the U.S. - An Audio Discussion
For those that enjoy listening as much or more than reading ...
Checking in … yes, I’m behind, but we’ve got two new posts coming up in the next week here at Selected Wisdom—Part 2 of last week’s post on domestic extremism is one of them.
In the meantime, for those that enjoyed the last post, “Virtual Insanity To Real World Calamity: How Will Lies Power Domestic Terrorism In 2021?,” there’s now an expanded audio discussion available at the Hell & High Water podcast, where I talked with host John Heilemann of Showtime’s “The Circus” about these issues.
As anyone who has watched John knows: He leads excellent, insightful discussions and, during this podcast, dove deep into today’s current domestic extremism scene. John and I have had many discussions over the last few years, both on and off air at 30 Rock between MSNBC spots, contemplating the dangers of disinformation and extremism. His show “The Circus” visited my research team in the fall heading—Jennifer Palmieri came to our “HQ” for a discussion on 2020 election conspiracies and fears of mobilizations to polling places by domestic extremists. Sadly, our concerns came true on January 6.
See here for links to all of the places where you can listen to the Hell & High Water with John Heilemann episode on domestic extremism. If you are an Apple Podcast App person like me, here’s the link.
Lastly, a portion of our interview with Jennifer Palmieri back in October 2020, is available here at The Recount, titled “Barbarians At The Polls.”
